Everyone said it’s easy. I was up late trying to figure out how to include all my website information in one place, and I failed. Or at least fell asleep. All I succeeded in doing was transferring the URL to my blog, so my site exists only on a hidden server somewhere and on my hard drive.

If you are looking for http://www.markallenediting.com, I hope to have my information back up here soon. If you need anything in the meantime, I’m at markallen@copydesk.org, 614-961-9666, @EditorMark on Twitter and (sometimes) copyeditor1 on Skype.

If you are looking for editormark.wordpress.com, my blog postings are all below.

If you are looking for my archive of tweeted tips, most of them also are on this site — I copied them to my blog when I reached about 500. Scroll down to find them.

Thanks for your patience.

  1. OK, after writing this I see http://www.markallenediting.com works again. I must be more clever than I thought.

In the coming days (weeks?), I’ll be migrating that content to here so my website and blog will be in one place. This is something I’ve been meaning to do for months, and with Apple’s MobileMe shutting down this summer in favor of iCloud, I figured 11:30 last night was a great time to do it.

  2. With assistance, I’ve managed to add a tab above at the top of this page leading to my archive of tweeted tips.

I’m in the process of combining my portfolio-style website with this blog. This is traditionally done offline with a grand announcement when it happens, but I will be making small changes over the coming weeks. I apologize to my subscribers for any insignificant automatic e-mail notifications.

  3. As someone who just accidentally sent out 700 Linkedin invites, I think you’re technically awesome.

Awesome is a word which once fell from favour, but I think it’s due a comeback.

  4. It’s kind of you to commiserate. I’m actually back at it again, having added tabs to my LinkedIn account and my resume. At some point, I plan to make the landing page something that screams “HIRE ME” and move the blog to one of those tabs. In the meantime, I’m accepting all the random LinkedIn invites that come my way.
